摘要：Provided is a method of manufacturing a press-formed article capable ofgreatly reducing spring-back which occurs in a press-formed article having a longitudinalshape, such as an article in which adjacent straight-line portions are linked by a curvedportion. A metal sheet is press-formed into a product shape which has a hat-shaped or U-shaped cross-sectional shape, and which has a longitudinal shape provided with a pluralityof straight-line portions and a curved portion linking adjacent straight-line portions. Themethod includes: a first step of forming an intermediate component in which, if thecurved portion has a convex curve on a top sheet portion side, the radius of curvature ofthe curved portion is made smaller than the radius of curvature in the product shape,such that the linear length of the curved portion in the longitudinal direction of the topsheet portion is greater than the linear length in the product shape, and if the curvedportion has a concave curve on the top sheet portion side, the radius of curvature of thecurved portion is made larger than the radius of curvature in the product shape, such thatthe linear length of the curved portion in the longitudinal direction of the top sheetportion is less than the linear length in the product shape; and a second step of press-forming the intermediate component into the product shape.
