the element and the first to nth batteries and detects a failure of the resistance circuit.The control unit determines the voltage at the connection point between the referenceresistor and the first resistor when the kth relay element is controlled to be in the ONstate when the voltages of the first to nth batteries are the same or substantially thesame. To the first voltage represented and the second voltage representing the voltageat the connection point between the reference resistor and the first resistor when the jrelay element different from the kth relay element is controlled to the ON state.
