 Lesson 17 People Love Pets ! Ⅰ. Effective teaching objectives:

Ⅳ.Effective teaching aids : audio-tape , the severl pictures of animals Ⅴ. Effective teaching process: Step1: Warming up

1. to say “Good morning” to the students .

2. to review the sentence to use the pictures of animals: What’s this in English ? It’s a /an „ Step2: Presentation

活动:以猜一猜的形式来巩固所学词汇和句型。首先由老师做示范介绍一些动物后,让学生猜测“What’s my favorite animal?”例如I have a pet. It has two big eyes.Because its fur is white ,we mame it “White Snow”. It works hard. Every day it can catch a mouse. So I like it very much.然后,学生会猜出“It’s a cat”即“Your favourite animal is cat”.学生们跃跃欲试,让他们分别描述自己喜欢的动物,其它学生认真听后,进行猜测。 Step3: Consolidation and extension

1. Listen to the radio,find out the important message,then follow the question. Does Jenny have a pet ?

What about Danny and Brian ? 2. Explain the important sentence

3. Listen to the radio again and read the text 4. Read and act out the dialogue in pairs. Step4: Summary

1. 掌握重点词汇及句型。

2. 能够描述宠物的特征及习性。 3. 用第三人称形式概况全文大意。 Step5: Homework

Write some sentences to discribe the pet of yours or you will have.Then draw a picuure of the pet.

在每节课中,安排学生的朗读是必要的,对于一门外语来说,课堂上练习的机会比较少,尽量在课上安排朗读,经过朗读能发现学生在重度,音调,重音,停顿等方面的问题。让学生多读,多出声是学习英语非常重要的手段。
