摘要：By transmitting a remote controlled device identifier through an optical signalemitted by a remote controlled device to a remote control pointed at the remotecontrolled device, the remote control is able to address the remote controlled device viaa communication network and be paired with the remote controlled device. As theremote control just has to be pointed at the remote controlled device that is to bepaired the pairing is intuitive. A verification unit can be added to the remote controlleddevice that transmits a challenge via the optical signal to the remote control. The remotecontrol creates a response and transmits the response to the remote controlled devicefor verification by the verification unit. If the verification is successful the pairing isallowed. As the challenge can only be extracted from the optical signal, access to theroom in which the remote controlled device is locate dis required in order to gain controlover the remote controlled device. A hack solely over the communication network isprevented as the challenge is not available on the communication network.
