一、 教学内容:

新目标英语八年级上册第十单元第一课时(1A----1C) 二、 教学目标: 1、 掌握表职业的词汇。

2、 掌握句型:A: What are you going to be when you grow up? B: I’m going to be a /an … A:How are you going to do that? B: I’m going to …

3、 引导学生一步步的完成本课的学习任务。

4、 教育学生树立远大的人生理想,并且通过自己的努力去实现自己的奋斗目标。 三、 教学重点: 词汇和句型的掌握 四、 教学难点: 听力部分和课后的习题

五、教学用具:多媒体课件 大玻璃瓶 四方彩纸(课前发给学生) 六、教学步骤: Step 1 Warm—up

1 、Greeting with the students.

2、 Ask a boy : Do you like Yao Ming ? What does he do ? (A basketball player)

Do you want to be a basketball player like Yao Ming ?

3、Teacher says : I’m going to be a basketball player. Teach : going to be

Step 2 The words

1 、Show some pictures ,let them revise the jobs. Then read the words.

Ask and answer in pairs : A: What does he /she do ? B: He /she is a/an …

2、Show other pictures , let them guess their jobs , then learn and read the new words .

3、Play a game : memory challenge .

4、1b Let the students to talk about the jobs . Which job is the most interesting ? Which job is the least interesting ? Then ask some students to show their points. Step 3 The conversations 1、 2、

Use the pictures to teach the conversations: A: What are you going to be when you grow up?

B: I’m going to be a /an … A:How are you going to do that? B: I’m going to …

Let them look at the pictures , then make conversations in pairs . Then act it out . 3、

Let them read the conversations about Lu Yu and Yao Ming .

Then make their own conversations in groups . Then ask some pairs to act it out .

Step 4 The listening

1、Before listening , let them read the phrases . 2、 Play the tape player , listen and match the items . 3、Check the answers. Step 5 Do a survey . 1、 Name Tom

Ask the students to fill in the chart like this .

Let them write their passages about their dream job . Then ask

some students to read their passages . The teacher can give them some advice .

3、 Last ,put their dream jobs into a glass bottle , and tell them :

No ,pains , no gains. If you study hard all the time , your dream will come true . Step 6 Exercises 1、 2、

Ask the students to do the exercises . Check the answers.
